Full general secondary education
VALORA is an educational space where we help a child not only to gain knowledge, but also gradually learn to live independently, interact with others, understand themselves, realise their abilities and find their own place in life.
Our approach
We follow the state educational standards and curricula approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, while paying particular attention to the individual needs of every child.
Our goal is not to build an environment where adults solve every difficulty for the child, but to gradually give the child their own tools for adaptation, learning and independent life.
Three levels of education
Level I — Primary education
Grades 1–4VALORA primary school is a safe environment where a child adapts to school life, learns to interact with peers and adults, builds basic learning skills and gradually discovers their own strengths.
We pay particular attention to children who need additional guidance and support.
Level II — Basic secondary education
Grades 5–9The transition to secondary school is an important stage of growing up. This is why at VALORA we see grades 5–9 not merely as the next stage of academic study, but as a period of actively forming independence, responsibility and social maturity.
Teaching follows the state standards and curricula of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. At the same time we maintain an individual approach to the student and the necessary level of support.
Our guiding principle is to support a child exactly as much as needed, and to gradually reduce that support wherever the child can already act independently.
In grades 5–9 we help students to:
- adapt to a new organisation of learning and a larger number of teachers
- develop independence and responsibility for their own learning
- build skills of planning, time management and completing tasks
- build healthy interaction with peers and adults
- understand their own strengths, interests and abilities
- learn to make decisions and take responsibility for their consequences
- gradually move from external help to independent use of their own resources
We aim for a child completing basic school not merely to know the material, but to understand themselves better and to feel capable of acting in real life.
Level III — Specialised secondary education
Grades 10–11(12)VALORA senior school is the stage of transition to adult life.
We choose a universal academic track, which lets students keep a broad educational outlook, deepen knowledge in line with their own interests and gradually define their further educational and professional path.
Teaching follows the state standards and curricula of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
In senior school our aim is not merely to prepare a child for tests. Our task is broader — to prepare them for the next stage of life.
That is why we pay particular attention to:
- adaptation to senior school and new social roles
- developing independence and responsibility
- the ability to organise one's own learning
- awareness of one's own abilities and interests
- building communication and interaction skills
- developing critical and independent thinking
- gradual professional and life self-determination
- preparation for further study, work and independent life
Support that leads to independence
One of VALORA's key principles is the dynamics of support.
We do not aim to permanently create conditions in which an adult constantly helps a child overcome difficulties. On the contrary, our goal is to understand what support the child needs today, and which skills will help them need less of it tomorrow.
This is why an educational path can change together with the child. Where a child can already cope alone, we give them room to decide for themselves. Where help is needed, we provide it.
Education that prepares for life
We believe the result of school education should be more than grades and academic knowledge. What matters is that, after finishing school, a young person:
- knows their strengths
- can interact with others
- can make decisions
- understands the consequences of their actions
- can ask for help when it is needed
- can draw on their own resources
- feels capable of building their own life
This is why VALORA sees the educational path from grade 1 to senior school as a gradual movement from supported development towards the greatest possible independence and realisation of each child's potential.
Class formation and student admission
At the start of educational activity, admission is primarily to grades 1–4. Later, as students move on to the next stages of study, and in line with the readiness of the institution and demand from families, grades 5–9 and 10–11(12) will be formed.
VALORA forms its student body in stages, taking into account the child's age, educational needs, level of independence and capabilities.
Admission to each class takes into account whether we can provide the child with an appropriate level of educational, pedagogical and, where needed, additional support.
We aim to keep class sizes small, which lets teachers see each student's individual needs more clearly, give enough attention to their development and create a comfortable environment for learning and socialisation.
The student body is formed gradually, which makes it possible to ensure continuity between levels of education and to maintain an individual approach as VALORA grows.
